Terms of Use

Accessing a page, reading its material, or using a search tool means that you accept these terms. Do not continue to use the website if you disagree with any condition below.

NO FCRA USE. Grant County Criminal History is privately operated and has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not provide services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act purposes. The website is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference website is independent of every government office. It does not store official records, retrieve a file, perform an official check, or submit documents for a visitor.

Its purpose is to identify Grant County courts, local law-enforcement custodians, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety, NMCD, the New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry, and optional third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

By using the site, you agree not to:

  • Interfere with access by other visitors or the site's operation
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
  • Use site content for housing, hiring, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Stalk, threaten, or harass another person
  • Violate any local, state, or federal law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information obtained here or through a linked tool may not be used to stalk, intimidate, threaten, harass, or unlawfully discriminate. New Mexico registry information exists for safety awareness. Section 29-11A NMSA 1978 and the live New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry warning do not permit vigilantism or crimes against a registrant or household.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Content here and results from any linked tool cannot be used to:

  • Make any other decision regulated by the FCRA
  • Determine eligibility for a government program, permit, or license
  • Set credit terms or insurance eligibility
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make an employment decision

A legally required official check must follow the authorized New Mexico DPS process or use a provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice about a Grant County charge, warrant, conviction, or expungement. A licensed New Mexico attorney can address an individual situation.

6. No Warranties

All material is supplied "as is," without a promise that:

  • A partner's search result is complete or correct
  • Pages contain no bug, mistake, or security weakness
  • The service will operate without interruption
  • Information is always complete, accurate, and current

Charges, outcomes, restrictions, and procedures change. Any gap or delay means site content cannot serve as an official statement from a court, sheriff, or other agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

An outside link may lead to a court, law-enforcement office, state agency, legal resource, or search service. We do not control that destination's content, price, privacy practice, availability, or terms. Review its conditions before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Grant County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, code, and logos. Written permission is required to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for damages arising from site use or reliance on information from a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and actions caused by your use of the site or a breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

New Mexico law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be filed in a court located in New Mexico.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms take effect when the new version is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected language will be limited only as much as necessary.
